    Marching Eagles Alumni Band


    Please register by Friday, October 11th to reserve your spot!







    Tentative Schedule:

    8:00am - Check in at Burke-Tarr Stadium
    8:30am - Rehearsal with the Marching Eagles
    9:00am - Rehearsal concludes
    10:00am - Attend Music Department Showcase (Gentry Auditorium)
    11:30am - Marching Eagle Alumni Luncheon (Location TBA)
    1:00pm - Meet in Band Room for brief rehearsal
    1:45pm - Line-up for Homecoming Parade
    2:00pm - Parade Steps Off
    2:30pm - Move to Burke-Tarr Stadium stands (sit in Marching Eagles section)
    2:45pm - Watch Senior day recognitions
    3:00pm - Kick-off
    4:30pm - Approximate Half-time performance
    6:00pm - Games ends


    The cost is $60 and includes:
    • C-N Marching Eagles Alumni 1/4 Zip Pullover
    • C-N Hat
    • Lunch (email for lunch requests will be sent after registration is received)
    • Admission to the game

    Additional Game Tickets:

    Friends and family can purchase game tickets at www.cneagles.com.


    Sheet Music & Drill

    The Marching Eagles band staff will provide the following to all registered participants:
    • Woodwinds, Brass, & Percussion: Sheet music will be emailed in advance. Please print and bring the music with you.
    • Color Guard: Choreography will be emailed in advance.
    • Majorettes: Audio recordings of the music will be sent in advance; you may create your own routines.

    ** Since rehearsal time is limited, Alumni participants will have a designated stationary area on the field as part of the show. **
     

    The Marching Eagle Alumni Band performance is open to the following instruments:
    • Flute/Piccolo
    • Clarinet
    • Alto Saxophone
    • Tenor Saxophone
    • Baritone Saxophone
    • Trumpet
    • Mellophone
    • Trombone
    • Euphonium/Baritone
    • Sousaphone/Tuba
    • Percussion: Snare Drum
    • Percussion: Tenor Drums (Quads)
    • Percussions: Bass Drum
    • Percussions: Cymbals
    • Color Guard (Flag)
    • Majorettes
     
    ** With the exception of drumline equipment, Carson-Newman cannot supply any instruments, mouthpieces, or equipment. Please bring your own instrument, secure one through a local high school, or rent one from a music store. **

     
    Participants in the alumni band should wear the following attire:
    • Navy C-N Marching Eagles Alumni Pullover (distributed after morning rehearsal)
    • C-N Hat
    • Black pants
    • Black shoes

    What to bring:
    • Instrument/Equipment:C-N does not loan instruments or equipment.
    • Instrument Accessories:Reeds, cork grease, valve oil, cleaning swabs, mouthpieces, ligatures, and percussion sticks/mallets.
    • Music:Sheet music will be sent via email. Please print and bring your music, as it will not be available on-site.
    • Flip Folder & Lyre:These are necessary for holding music to read in the stands and on the field.
    • Water:Bring enough water to stay hydrated throughout the day. 1-quart to 1-gallon water cooler is recommended.
    • Pancho/Sunscreen:Bring a pocket poncho is case of rain. Sunscreen is essential.
